The Elephant Man is a stage play which details the life of Joseph “John” Merrick. Merrick was born with several rare deformities which caused him both physical and mental anguish and led him to be known as the "Elephant Man".
This design package included a teaser poster, main poster, and program design. The aim of the design was a modern take on the play, venturing away from the usual sideshow and carnival designs that had previously defined it. The teaser and the main poster are designed to provide a contrast with an intrusive and then more thoughtful look at The Elephant Man himself.
